The Most Weird Mysterious & Spooky Images On Google Earth

The Shot of a Lifetime - He's Half in France, Half in Italy

This would be an epic skiing shot if it were taken by a professional photographer, but it was taken by a Google Streetview Mountaineer called Gianni! The exciting sporting image was taken at Mont Blanc's summit or Monte Bianco's summit, so half the skier is in France, and the other half is in Italy. The famous mountain was the highest in Europe, but all that changed when the Iron Curtain came down in the 1990s.

After the Caucasus Mountains - which span Russia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia - were allowed into the European club, Mont Blanc was relegated to 7th place. Mount Erebus is now Europe's tallest peak.
