This year, the theme was "In America: An Anthology of Fashion," and this time, she wasn't inspired by the all-American Carmen Electra. Instead, she was inspired by the most American thing she could think of: Marilyn Monroe. Kim shocked the fashion world by wearing Marilyn's infamous glittering dress, accompanied by platinum blonde hair.

Marilyn first wore the dress to serenade President John F. Kennedy by singing "Happy Birthday, Mr. President" on his 45th birthday in 1962. The dress was sold at auction for $4.8 million and has to be stored in a darkened vault at exactly 68 degrees with 40-50% humidity!
